Day 1
Depart on your international flight from the UK. Flights can also be arranged from other destinations and we are more than happy to quote without flights if you prefer to arrange your own travel.
Day 2
Arrive to Kuching where you will meet with your driver and guide. The afternoon is left free to relax after your flight or enjoy an orientation tour of Kuching with your guide to learn about the history and heritage of Sarawak.
Day 3
A full day tour to Bako National Park - travel by boat to the beach where you will jump into the waters and wade to shore. Explore the national park keeping your eyes peeled for bearded pigs, proboscis monkeys, green pit vipers, flying squirrels and a whole host of tropical birds and other extraordinary wildlife! Walk the trails and relax at park HQ for a local style lunch.
Day 4
Start the morning with a visit to the Semenggoh Orangutan Wildlife Centre to catch the morning feed. Return to Kuching and transfer to Sarawak Cultural Village which is situated in the foothills of the legendary Mount Santubong. A living Museum offering an excellent introduction to local cultures and lifestyles. Experience the homes and handicrafts of the ethnic cultures and tribes of Sarawak.
Day 5
The journey into Mulu National Park is as incredible as the place itself. Fly high over the rainforest canopy before landing within the heart of the National Park. Continue by road to the Park HQ where you will head out on a walk to visit the magical Deer Cave, just in time for the evening bat show at dawn. This evening relax at your lodge or luxury hotel before a night trail with your nature guide.
Day 6
Enjoy a day at leisure in the awe-inspiring national park.
Day 7
A morning cruise takes you to explore wind cave and clearwater cave, followed by a swim in the blue lagoons. This afternoon we recommend taking on the canopy walkway, or for those needing downtime enjoy some lounging poolside at the Marriott. Alternatively we can arrange the Valley of Eden Trek, Pinnacle Trek or adventure caving.
Day 8
Fly to Sabah, arriving in to Kota Kinabalu for your next adventure. Take time to relax or explore the city and fabulous markets with your guide. This evening stroll along the waterfront or add on a snorkel experience followed by BBQ dinner.
Day 9
Enjoy a day at leisure in Sabah's unique capital city. Alternatively, get the adrenaline pumping with an exhilarating Kiulu river rafting adventure. This Kota Kinabalu day tour is the perfect way to add a touch of adventure to a Borneo holiday.
Day 10
Travel to Sepilok today - the afternoon is spent visiting the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and Sun Bear Conservation Centre. This evening take a night walk or head out for dinner in the city.
Day 11
Visit the local market, enjoy a traditional English tea and learn about the local customs before an afternoon visit to the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary where you may also be lucky enough to spot the silver leaf monkeys!
Day 12
Board a boat to transfer to the Kinabatangan River - cruise past villages and lush rainforest before arriving to your lodge. The afternoon includes wildlife cruises, nature trails and night walks, or take time to relax in the remote riverside setting.
Day 13
A full day to enjoy boat trips on the river or leisure time - keep your eyes peeled again for plenty of wildlife, including Orangutan high in the canopy!
Day 14
Travel overland by private driver to Tabin Wildlife Reserve. On arrival take a trek, learn about the wildlife you may spot and keep your eyes peeled for the best of Borneo's big cats this evening....Tabin is a great place for all wildlife spotting with some of the highest viewings enjoyed here.
Day 15
Famous as a release destination for rehabilitated Orangutan, Tabin is the place to keep looking up for movement in the trees as you will likely spot the great ape in close quarters. Spend the day visiting the salt licks, mud pools and trekking the wildlife trails with your nature guide.
Day 16
Wave goodbye to the amazing nature guides in Tabin and get ready to head deep into the last area of primary rainforest in Borneo; Danum Valley. An exclusive experience which is worth every penny, Danum is a must for wildlife lovers.
Day 17
Your tour includes a 3 night package in the Borneo Rainforest Lodge living with the resident great ape, the Orangutan, and enjoying a number of incredible nature excursions. The excellent team will speak to you on arrival the best activities for you during your stay.
Day 18
Another full day in Danum Valley to enjoy activities or laze in the lodge watching Orangutan in their natural habitat all around you
Day 19
Travel to the beach at Kota Kinabalu choosing from Gaya Island or Shangri La. Arrive and check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is spent relaxing on the white sand beaches in pure paradise.
Day 20
A day at leisure or try the famous zipline experience on Gaya Island.
Day 21
Relax on the beach, enjoy activities at your hotel or lounge poolside.
Day 22
Depart Borneo today - you will be transferred to the airport by your private driver for your flight home.
